In 2001, Barefoot Comfort Company started a new era under the direction of Mike Kessinger and Joe Abi-arrage. Since then, the small but eclectic shoe store in downtown Greenville, SC, has flourished under its owners’ colorful personalities and service-oriented management style. Satisfaction guarantees, trend-setting diversity and, of course, comfort are the defining goals. “We try to have a little something for everyone,” says Kessinger, who even keeps a few "comfortable" products for pets on hand in the store.
